Stud-a-thon Kick-Off
Join us as we kick-off a new Habitat tradition in Ogle County and make a difference in the lives of our next partner family by creating a message of hope, encouragement, or inspiration on their new home. For a donation of $200, you can sponsor a stud (2x6 piece of wood) that will help build a Habitat home. Constructing a Habitat home takes over 300 studs, so every donation counts!

Habitat Housing Programs
We are excited to announce that our next Habitat home will be built in the Village of Davis Junction. The application period for this home build is now closed. If you have questions on the homeownership program please email sheri.anspaugh45@outlook.com. You can also stay informed by liking our Facebook page.
A "Brush with Kindness" is a home preservation program that provides services such as painting, landscaping, and minor repair services for lower income homeowners in need. A "Brush with Kindness" may also include things such as gutter work, stairway repair, brush and tree removal, sidewalk work, or building an access ramp.
We help homeowners impacted by age, disability and family circumstances, who may be struggling to maintain the exterior of their homes, reclaim their homes with pride and dignity.
Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, we build simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families.
Habitat houses are then sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.
This program breaks the cycle of poverty and poor living conditions by building strength, stability and self-reliance through homeownership.
